St.John's Christian Education Program for the lower levels includes children from 3K-5th grade. We also have a nursery for younger children and babies. Our program consists of various opportunities for the little ones, Sunday School being the primary and most important one. Classes are taught through the program Godly Play, as well as in a traditional setting. We have a Children's Chapel that meets during the first part of our worship service; afterwards, the children join their parents in worship for communion. During the year we put on a Christmas pageant and offer a Vacation Bible School in the summer. We have a wonderful playground with new equipment and enjoy a variety of arts and crafts throughout the year. We learn songs and the Episcopal liturgy, and we memorize scripture, the Books of the Bible, and parts of the catechism. We collect offerings that go to missions locally and globally. Please take some time to read the stories to your little ones, or encourage the older kids to read them for themselves. Christian Education Resource Fund
Honor someone special with a gift to the CERF (Christian Education Resource Fund). This is a great way to give an honorarium or a memorial, while building the resources for The Gathering Place for our Sunday School children. These funds will enable us to purchase puppets, music, craft supplies, books, and videos for the enjoyment of our kindergarten through 5th grade children. In addition, we will be able to complete our plans for an inviting Gathering Place used by our children before Sunday School and during summer Family Fun. Please consider giving to the CERF.
